Read the Extended: On Memory (in Relation to Movement) and Time that extends on this
Brought Forth…
Memory. What is the space dedicated for that kind of activity to occur? What is it made of?! Its "conurbations," I mean, pathways of connection?! If we're talking of a piece of tissue, cartilage-like, and a specific configuration necessary in order to aggregate its movements, and with/through them, its contents, then, a literal involucrum is what that "dedicated" space becomes; a container of sorts. A cell.
But these observations are made from outside of it; attested from a perspective point other than the thing itself, the cell. And dissecting it, through the lens of a microscope for instance, could only take us, and our observation, so far.
It is imperative to "become" it, as in, to "experience" from the perspective point of the cell itself. [And that takes precision machinery in connection with an architecture that is in alignment with it inside the body; or an elevated level of awareness that is geared toward accomplishing this task.] It is the only way to see clearly, from the completely different view that accompanies the cell; that gives us a chance to participate together with its movements, and "see," the way a cell "sees"—its functions, what it has to do in order to "survive."
That being said, there is a certain independence to them. Which, on the bright side of things, gives you a certain independence too. A freedom of choice, as your cells have too.
What does that have to do with memory?! While your cells are busy, processing and running from impacts, received from all sorts of situations (from the food you ate to the presence of other bodies, how they interacted or not with you, and the environment around you), you’re freed to engage with them in their processing, or “wait” for their output, which, if you’re attentive enough, might be helpful to you. But that’s not only it.
Show-How…
While this event takes place, you’re freed to observe you have become the observer. And when you do, you are free to choose what to do next. That’s the tricky part.
If you do not exercise your choice [this is exactly how “boredom” is born, or more correctly said, how boredom arises], you're bound to feel bored. And this “bound-to-but-not-quite-yet” second triggers something else, a “prompt” to move or deviate your attention to something else in order to more than rapidly fulfill that “sense of void" you get (and in spikes, as it elevates in intensity if you don’t act quickly enough).
But that “gap in time” that opens, that gets rapidly used up by something you fill it with (or else, boredom installs), is an opportunity. An opportunity to exercise freedom of choice. And with it, a chance not to fill it with anything (at least, for a second or two, or 5 minutes), and wait for yourself, your own command or “content” instead. A chance to experience what true freedom feels like, and what you can do with it; the potency that comes through with it—yours.
Good to Know…
Notice the correlation to time here. That “gap that opens” is in time, as in, it is a gap of time. A moment (pun intended) in which there is no time. Time has to wait for you to decide. And when you do, time initiates again. Because the content of your choice is what makes it run. And a succession of choices creates your own kind of time. One in which you reign; which becomes yours.
Memory is the input of your choice. And because you fill that container of space with it (literally what time is all about), you’re free to gauge and access and pull from its pool of remembrance as the owner of that time you helped imprint.
