Read the Extended: On Memory (in Relation to Movement) and Time
Brought Forth…
Without direction there is no control. Whatever is made, done, spoken, thought, is at the mercy of circumstance. On the other hand, once circumstance presents itself because of the direction, whoever is deciding it, whoever is steadily holding the wheel of that direction, driving it forth, is the one controlling it. Including the time of it, its duration and lifespan. The level of precision necessary to drive it well is the kind of precision that comes imbued with the requirements of that direction.
And to have direction you need intent. What is that movement going to direct itself toward? What is the direction you are going to give it?
An initial thought [or form or imagery, the imaging of something you can see in your mind's eye, or feel] is enough to engage intent. Intent is both the trigger and the "sustainer" of that pure thought-form.
What you do next determines if circumstances are sustained by that initial thought-form, the intent behind it, or not.
Once the intent is on, its thought-form hints at the very next thought or image or form associated to it. If you go with it—the flow of that form or thought—and stay with it, in it for at least 8 seconds, you're given the next one, and the next, and so you’re on. You're given the "train of thought" you're to hold on to and follow through if you're to see and experience the results you're looking for.
Show-How…
The direction of your choice has to necessarily pick a pathway to run itself through. That's the opposite of what we usually think and do, that "we need to control the pathway, pick the right one, what's in it, the players and all."
Once the direction is set, the pathway shows itself to you; the path of least resistance, that is. Contrary to common belief, you do not want to control the path, you want to control your own direction in it by consistently focusing on the train of thought sustained by your intent.
Once you do that, the means within the pathway adjust. The steering of your direction within the path in this way adjusts it to keep it dynamically unveiling before you. That's when control, real control begins.
Success, in this way, your way (as the nuances of your pathway can never be mine and vice-versa), is utterly always an exception to the rule. Awarded upon "arrival," given by the precision and control of your direction (not your pathway): what you do with your train of thought.
Good to Know...
Activity is largely determined by your train of thought. If you have not yet set a direction for yourself (a goal, a place you see yourself [arriving] at), your activity will be all over the place, and significantly out of your control (i.e., you are controlled by it instead of controlling it).
It is the opposite of what happens when you are in possession of your own direction: your activity is completely dictated by the organization of the train of thought that accompanies it.
Keep yourself at it. Keep going, following the way your train of thought shows you it wants to order itself, organize itself; followed by doing it.
And while you're busy at it (what becomes your main activity), you might not realize it, but when you lift up your head and look around, you might just have arrived, and everything is waiting for you, your next direction; a new intent to get to. Ready, set, go!
